The SICK IMB08-02BPSVU2K is an inductive proximity sensor from the IMB series, designed for reliable non-contact detection of metallic objects in demanding industrial environments. Built in a compact M8 x 1 short-body stainless steel housing, it offers flush mounting in metal and a nominal sensing range of 2 mm, making it suitable for space-restricted machine and automation applications.
This sensor operates from a 10–30 V DC supply and features a PNP normally open output with a 3-wire, 2 m PUR cable connection. Its high switching frequency of 4,000 Hz supports fast object detection, while IO-Link V1.0 capability provides enhanced communication for modern automation systems. The IMB08-02BPSVU2K is rated to IP68 and IP69K, with resistance to coolant and lubricant exposure, making it well suited to mobile machinery, production equipment and harsh operating conditions.
With a V2A stainless steel housing, LCP sensing face, short-circuit protection, reverse polarity protection and a wide operating temperature range of -40 °C to +100 °C, this SICK proximity sensor provides durable performance for accurate position, presence and end-stop detection in industrial control systems.
