The Pepperl + Fuchs KFA6-SR2-EX2.W is a high-quality isolated barrier designed for intrinsic safety applications. This 2-channel device is powered by a 230 V AC supply and is equipped with dry contact or NAMUR inputs. It features a latching relay output and line fault detection (LFD) for enhanced functionality. The device is set by an active signal on input I and is reset by an active signal on input II, with the mode of operation of inputs I and II being programmable. The KFA6-SR2-EX2.W also includes a switch for enabling or disabling line fault detection of the field circuit. In case of an error condition or power loss, the form C changeover relays revert to their de-energized state and the LEDs indicate the fault according to NAMUR NE44. This part is ideal for level control, pump up/pump down, or other switch/logic applications.
